And when we say enormous, we mean it! There were over 3500 people in attendance and 60 countries represented at the 10th World Biomaterials Congress (WBC) in Montreal, Canada. As one of the chairs of the organizing committee, Paul Santerre is to be congratulated on such a successful conference.
Lab members Meghan and Yasaman volunteered on the marketing and communications committee for the conference, organizing over 15 other volunteers to produce conference highlights (including photos, videos and session details) sent out daily in the WBC Daily Bulletin. See an example here! They also disseminated conference highlights through the WBC Instagram and Twitter accounts. Selfies with WBC mascots The Tremblay Family were a huge hit on social media. The tireless and hardworking volunteers (pictured below) included international delegates as well as Montreal local undergraduates.
Meghan and Yasaman encourage you to watch the conference highlight reel here, and check out fun photos from the conference here.
