Dr Santerre appointed Baxter Chair of Health Technology and Commercialization

Dr Paul Santerre has been appointed the Baxter Chair of Health Technology and Commercialization, created through a $2.5 million -investment by the Baxter Corporation to the University Health Network to drive entrepreneurship and commercialization initiatives at both the University Health Network and the University of Toronto. Supported by an IBBME Wildcat Voyageur Scholarship, PhD candidate Jeremy Antonyshyn attends the 15th Annual Meeting of the International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics and Science in Miami, Florida to present his research on the endothelial plasticity of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells.

Funded by an IBBME Wildcat Voyageur Scholarship and a Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplement through the NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship, PhD candidate Meghan Wright conducted 6-month research exchange at Harvard Medical School where she had the opportunity to apply a novel microscopy technique to her research.
